Are you ready to get your dive on during the winter? We are heading to Bonne Terre Mine, which is just an hour south of St. Louis, for some incredible diving! It doesn't matter what the outside temperature or conditions are, the pool is always open at Bonne Terre Mine. Water temperature is a constant 60F and visibility is always 100'+.
Once the world's largest producer of lead ore, Bonne Terre Mine is now flooded with enough water to hold the billion gallon lake. Any open water-certified diver can explore its 20-plus dive trails - averaging 40 to 60 feet deep with 100-foot plus visibility. This is a cool Midwest dive destination, truly like none other. Bonne Terre Mine is known as one of the top 10 dive sites in America.
•There are over 50 different dive tours in the mine and you dive them all sequentially
•Diving is conducted in groups up to 15 divers with the dive guide leading the dive and a safety diver bringing up the rear
•The average length of the dive is 35 to 45 minutes
•Average depth is 40 to 60 feet
•Water temperature is 60° with no thermoclines
•Air temperature is 65°
•Visibility is always 100 feet plus
•No lights or knives are allowed in the mine
•We offer pre-blended Nitrox 32 @ $15 per tank

We will head down on Friday, dive 3 dives on Saturday at 9am, 1pm & 4pm and 2 dives on Sunday morning at 8am & 10am and then head home.
New divers to the mine are required to dive Trails 1,2,3 before advancing to next set of trails. These trails are run on Saturday ONLY.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT: Full wet suit or Dry Suit, hood, boots, gloves, Regulator with pressure gauge, BCD, Weight system & weights

You can add Mine Diver Specialty Certification (SSI or PADI): $88 (includes certification) No book work. You qualify for Specialty by completing 2 dives with us and the specialty counts toward Advanced Open Water Diver or Master Diver. Must be paid in advance at the time of sign-up.
