About Us

OUR VISION

To provide everyone an opportunity to enjoy the crystal blue world through an innovative and inspiring approach to adventure, exploration, conservation, education and most importantly, FUN.

OUR MISSION

To  foster, expand and perpetuate the passion for scuba diving.  To demonstrate a spirit of family, community and good fellowship among divers; to protect, improve and increase awareness of the sport of scuba diving through shared experiences and continued education. We strive to be positive role models to all our peers, young and old, and to bring the wonders of scuba to those less fortunate than ourselves.  To continue to explore the vast utopias that awaits each of us at every descent.  Dream, Discover, DESCEND

OUR TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

We believe in maximizing the personal experience of each student, with our commitment to quality of training and SAFETY.

You will not get lost in the shuffle of a large class.

You will experience personal attention, with special focus on detail and most importantly, SAFETY.  You will work with the instructor on each element of a skill until you understand the sequence of steps necessary to achieve comfort and mastery.  These are critical steps in the learning process and the building blocks that build confidence and comfort leading to mastery of the skills being taught.   Each skill learned builds a logical path to the next skill, building comfort and retention.  The end result? You become a better trained, more confident diver and a better dive buddy, ready to start your journey to enjoy and explore the Crystal Blue underwater world.

Meet The Team

Mike Chabalowski

President - PADI Master Instructor

Diving professionally since 2004, all I can say is that I wish I did it sooner. The underwater world is something that can’t be described in mere words.  It’s something that has to be experienced first-hand.  From the moment of my very first underwater breaths, I knew I was hooked.

I enjoy local dive spots, as well as traveling to exotic dive destinations such as, Cozumel, Bonaire, Turks & Caicos, Caymans Islands, Belize, Honduras and Hawaii. My passion for diving has led me to capture this mind-blowing underwater world through underwater photography and videography. Please take a look at our Gallery for some of my favorites.

As a PADI Master Instructor, I teach courses from the initial Discover Scuba Diving up through the professional level courses of Divemaster and Assistant Instructor.  I also assist PADI Course Directors in teaching the Instructor Development Course, (IDC), preparing Divemasters and Assistant Instructors for their Instructor Exam.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do, than the things you did do! Dream, Discover, DECEND

George Tirado

PADI Assistant Instructor

I fell in love with our underwater world at the early age of 15. All it took was one dive and I was hooked. What was just something fun to do on the weekends has now become a life-long passion for marine-life, diving, teaching and traveling the world. My Open Water certification led to many others, Advanced Open Water Diver, PADI Specialty Courses (Wreck Diver, Ice Diver, to name a few), and my favorite, Rescue Diver. Once I attained the Master Scuba Diver certification, I wanted to continue to challenge myself so in 2013, I  joined the tribe of PADI Professionals by getting my Divemaster certification. As exciting as it is to be a scuba diver, teaching students and seeing their eyes light up as this new world is open to them, is even better.

George completed the PADI Assistant Instructor course in 2016, and is able to teach the following PADI Courses: Discover Scuba Diving, Peak Performance Bouyancy, Project AWARE and AWARE Coral Reef Conservation Specialty.

Kevin Koch

PADI Assistant Instructor

I started my diving journey in May of 2014 and at last, I have found my passion.

Since then, diving has taken me all over the world, to islands I never knew existed.

My passion grew when I achieved Dive Master and began assisting the instructors with training. Currently I am a PADI Assistant Instructor and have extensive experience with First Aid for divers.

The joys I get from seeing diver students transition into divers is what makes life so enjoyable and the friendships and journeys I have shared are dear to my heart. My favorite places to dive include Cozumel, Philippines and shark feeding in the Bahamas. Locally, my favorite spot would be good old Lake Michigan. I also love to dive ship wrecks, caverns with side mount and doubles on my back.

I hope you come to dive with me!

Todd Pavoris

PADI Divemaster

I started diving in 2008 and was instantly hooked being under the water.  In 2013, I obtained my Rescue Diver & Divemaster certifications and have been involved in training, teaching and guiding students ever since. I  have certifications in Nitrox, CPR/AED, 1st Responder First Aid and O2 Administration.
In the water I enjoy the reefs, wreck diving and the abundant sea life which never ceases to amaze me.  I have been diving in Bonaire, the Philippine Islands, Turks & Caicos, Belize, The Bahamas (via the Aggressor boats), the Florida Keys, Roatan, Cayman Islands, Cozumel and the Cenotes in the Mexican Riviera.  Work is just a means to support my habit of being in the water.
See you in the water!

I completed my Open Water certification with my husband in 2012 prior to our honeymoon in Mexico.  Once I dove in the Caribbean I knew I wanted to do it more!  I  went on to complete my Advanced Open Water in 2014 while on one of the group trips to Cozumel.  I look forward to continuing my dive journey!
